Where does your voice come from?  Is it from the surface or down deep?

If you went to broadcasting school you probably remember holding your tummy while you breathed in and out.  The point of the exercise was to remind you to breathe deeply and use your full voice when you speak.

So now that you've been around a while, how's that going?

Everyone has a reaction to turning on the microphone.  What's yours? And does it have an effect on your voice?

Does your throat tense up?  Do you take shallow breaths?

Do you hold your voice in your throat or do you let it out, fully and freely?

Take inventory of your physical on-air reaction and whether it detracts from the way you sound.
