Game four of the NBA Finals, plus a primetime edition of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," was more than enough to propel ABC to a win, nearly doubling second-place Fox and its reality star "So You Think You Can Dance."
While these are only preliminary ratings, the Lakers victory earned a 4.8 rating/14 share in the 18-49 demo, with 12.2 million viewers. "Kimmel," which preceded the game on the East Coast, scored a 3.6/12, 9.4m, making it the second-most watched show of the evening.
Tuesday's game three scored a 4.2/12 in the morning fast nationals before reaching 5.9/17, so expect last night's contest to climb to over a 6/20 when the actuals come in.
Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.2/9, 8.6m) provided the only real distraction from the game, and was No. 1 in all female demos. The other reality competition, "I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here" (1.8/6, 5m), was slightly up in the demo from the night before.
