Wireless airwaves are full-CNN. We guess it was bound to happen. CNN reports that the US mobile phone industry is running out of the airwaves necessary to provide voice, text and internet services to its customers. The so-called "Spectrum Crunch" threatens to increase the number of dropped calls, slow data speeds and you guessed it, raise customer prices.
The number-one biggest factor is the public's incredible thirst for e-mail, apps and video on their mobile devices which is doubling mobile data traffic in recent years. The FCC does report that the United States has a slight Spectrum surplus but it could turn into a deficit as early as next year. Ok, turn in your phones!
