CNN reports that there is a shift in priorities for mobile users, and it's away from the web, sort of.  New stats show that phone and tablet users used to spend more time surfing the web but now...

they're using apps.  A year and a half ago, phone and tablet users spent an average of 64 minutes a day using the web browser on their phone or tablet and onloy 43 minutes per day on apps. Now the numbers read an average of 94 minutes per day for apps and just 72 minutes browsing the mobile web!  One of the reasons could be the popularity of the Facebook app. Surfing of Facebook on the mobile web has dropped 9 minutes per day according to the recent numbers while fans of the social media giants are liking and status-ing via the easier app application.
