The Abbotsford Heat, the new American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames has chosen Rogers Broadcastings Country 107.1 FM as its team broadcaster for its inaugural season. Former Vancouver Giants play by play man Dave Sheldon who called the WHL on Vancouver's CISL 650 last season will call the games and Rogers Sportsnet t.v. reporter Craig MacEwan will serve as his colour anaylst. Their first broadcast will be October 9th when the Heat host the San Antonio Rampage.
