When it comes to where people get their news and information, the internet, by far, has become their primary source. A recent Zogby Interactive poll shows more than half of respondents, 56% chose the internet. Among other sources, 21% chose television, while both newspapers and radio was the primary choice of just ten percent apiece.

When asked which was the most reliable for news, more than one-third chose the internet, while 13% picked radio. The future also does not bode well for sources other than the internet, as 82% of those polled said they believe 5 years from now, the internet will be the most dominant source for news. However, TV, radio and newspapers are moving their consumers toward cyberspace. Says Zogby, “the poll reinforces the idea that the efforts by established newspapers, television, and radio news outlets to push their consumers to their respective websites is working.”
