Rogers Sportsnet broadcast the Vancouver Canucks preseason opener vs the New York Islanders in Terrace, B.C. Monday. CBC, which was pre-taping pieces for future Hockey Night in Canada games had Don Cherry, Ron McLean and Cassie Campbell in the town of 11,000. With a full radio crew from Vancouver's Team 1040, the tiny broadcast booth at the 1000 seat Terrace Sportsplex was packed tight. Sportsnet was in pre-season form, at one point running a 3 minute commercial set(mostly promos) during the play while the game had about 3 minutes remaining.
