It will be 38 years to the day that Dick Clark hosted the first Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve when America's beloved "Oldest Teenager" helps bring in 2011 at New York City's Times Square. Clark first hosted the "dropping of the Times Square Ball" in 1972, quickly replacing Guy Lombardo and his famous Auld Lang Syne at midnight as America's favorite New Years tradition.

Clark, arguably radio's best-known all-time personality, now co-hosts the ABC New Years extravaganza with Ryan Seacrest after his 2004 stroke. Clark this week will host for a 38th year, the longest running host of an American TV program. Even game show icon Bob Barker only had a run behind the microphone for 35 years.
