Rogers Media cites declining ad revenues for eliminating the positions of program director at both their Jack FM and 104.9 Oldies outlets in Vancouver, British Columbia. The general sales manager of Rogers Vancouver Radio and their regional program director for Mountain FM Squamish, B.C. and the Fraser Valley stations were also relieved of their duties. Rogers made sweeping cuts at its radio properties in Toronto this week as well. Meanwhile CFUN Radio in Vancouver cut virtually all of its on-air staff on Friday June 26th.CFUN's website has gone dark and is only promoting big changes for July 2nd. CFUN has struggled with various formats and almost non-existent ratings since its halcyon days of top 40 radio in the sixties and seventies
