Zoomer Media Buys Vision TV

Founder and former owner of CityTV Moses Znaimer announced Monday he is getting back into the television business. One of his companies, ZoomerMedia Limited, purchased the multi-faith television channel VisionTV for $25-million.

Mr. Znaimer founded ZoomerMedia in 2008 to cater to the 50-plus demographic that he dubbed "Zoomers," through radio stations, a magazine, Web sites and now, through VisionTV. Vision TV is a registered charity, and the assets ZoomerMedia will acquire in the $25-million sale include two national channels - Vision TV and One: The Body Mind and Spirit Channel; and two local channels, Joytv 10 in Vancouver and Joytv 11 in Winnipeg.
