Tips on How to Upload your Video or Audio Aircheck to the Site

  1. Log in with your username and password.
  2. Follow Video Home above to Upload Video/Audio in the main menu.
  3. Select either upload from your computer or add video from an external site. Video from an external site allows you upload videos from sites such as Youtube.  Then click show options, and check the box beside Long Link.  Copy that whole address by highlighting it, and ctrl C, or command C depending on your operating system, with your keyboard.  Use ctrl V or command V to paste it in the field on our site.
  4. After selecting your video source click on continue.
  5. Enter the title of your video or audio selection and enter a description of 15 words or so, as well as a few key words ..e.g. radio, tv, aircheck etc.
  6. On the same page select the cateogory for your file e.g. sportscaster, announcer  etc. You will also be asked if you wish to allow embedding. Allowing embedding means that any visitor can cut and paste your video. If you would rather not have your video posted or collected elsewhere then enter no.
  7. Then click continue
  8. On the next page browse to the video that you wish to add, or in the case of external uploads, you will be entering a url path at some point and click upload. You must include a video from the appropriate extensions and under 10 MB or it will be rejected.
  9. You can watch the progress of your upload which will tell you upon completion that your video has been added. It is as simple as that!

Note:Video Uploads will automatically capture an image for the front display of your file on site. Audio files will feature our Audio file thumbnail, or you can set your own, by changing the thumbnail after the file is uploaded.

If you're having difficlty uploading, try making sure your file name is lower case, without any special characters.  That name doesn't show anywhere, so it doesn't need to be meaningful.  Reduce or replace spaces with an _.
